Textures and Tones

I think Autumn has to be my favourite season. Such a bold and sudden change! Colours, smells, even my state of mind. Almost overnight I go from enjoying the last days of summer to fully embracing the thought of long walks, wholesome comfort food and cosy nights in. Just like that. And of course there’s the added pleasure of layering up in new season knitwear and coats, in textures and tones I wouldn’t have dreamt of wearing a matter of weeks previously.

And this autumn I’ll be welcoming back the red lippy! I took a break from wearing it pretty much everyday in favour of a more natural look over the summer, but a statement lip goes hand in hand with chunky knits like this one from Marks and Spencer. A total win of a jumper in a gorgeous shade of green, and with nice deep sides splits that make it a great shape for layering with shirts.
